Competing and Etiquette

All you need to know about getting started in competitions can be found in the competing-in-agility document.

Dates of events are on the NZ Agility website and this page also has links to entering online. All Champ shows must be entered online this way, and you can enter Ribbon trials on line or on the day.

Ribbon trials are a great introduction to competing. They don’t count for NZ Championship points, but they do provide a great atmosphere, plenty of learning opportunities, plus two Elementary events that Champ shows don’t have, for very new dogs and/or handlers.

All shows have some catering available to make your day more comfortable.  You don’t even need expensive transport these days as there are an increasing number of pet-friendly motels that some competitors use when competing away from home.

and FINALLY – Etiquette!

Agility training and competition days are busy events. Please take a look at a simple Guidance to Competitors  note to understand your responsibilities as an agility dog team member on the day.
